Yesterday I got myself into a beach brawl with a buddy of mine. I wound up getting beat up by a little dog.  The result was a bloody eye. I had to go straight to the Red Bank Animal Hospital to get it checked out.

I'm just fine now since it was only a bite on my eyelid but I now owe my owners $171. I better step up my Blogging and Amazon store.

Dog Sitting

My Aunt Pat watched me yesterday while my owner went to Ocean City for a meeting.  I love hanging at Aunt Pats house.

She has a really cute Cavalier King Charles named Tyler.  Tyler just loves me.  He jumps all over me for at least the first hour during my stay.

Aunt Pat always has great treats for me and gives me lots of hugs.

Beach all to myself

With the freezing cold temperatures over the weekend, I've enjoyed having the beach all to myself. I've taken advantage of the situation and have been sunbathing in the nude.

Fun visit today

We had a visit with my friends from ocean city today. Missy, Tori and Alexa came to visit today. We watched the polar bear plunge then had a nice lunch.

All In A Days Walk

We just ran into miss daisy again on our evening walk. It's nice to have a new beach friend.

Walking Miss Daisy

I was excited to meet Miss Daisy on my walk this morning. Daisy is a youthful 11 year old fox... By fox I mean cutie. She's really a mix breed- part Akita. She was all about playing this morning. We look forward to hanging with her on more sunrise walks.

Walking Diversion

Living in Manasquan presents some challenges when it comes to my walks. I have a pretty normal routine at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Manasquan is known for flooding during high tide. It's especially bad after a storm.

Today we were diverted from 4th ave because of the water. Some dogs would love a swim but I decided to turn around and walk down 3rd.

Maggie and I went for a walk today. Maggie normally doesn't walk she barrels down the road at the speed of sound.

She got the gentle leader to make Mary's life easier. She walks like a normal dog with it on;however, she knows how to take it off. She finds the grass and wipes her nose against it I'll it comes off.

The only way to keep her from taking it off is to make her walk. In the street. At one point we didn't notice and Maggie was trying to get it off this time with her face in sh$&. Her poor mommy.

Indoor bone hiding

I was surprised this afternoon by a visit from my pal, Louie. Louie and I were neighbors in red bank. He's never come to check out our digs in Manasquan.

During his visit he received a few treats. Whenever he got one he found a "hiding" spot for it inside the house.

What a silly. As soon as he walked away I found them and ate em.

60 and Sunny At The Jersey Shore

Today is just fabulous at the jersey shore. While I normally prefer blizzard like conditions- today is just unreal. It is 60 degrees out and sunny. It's so hot I had to dig a hole in the sand to cool off. Other dogs would go swimming but I prefer wet sand.

My friend Roxanne suggested I check out this blog of dogs that are leashed outside stores and restaurants while their owners go inside. The guy is really funny

I'm not often left outside in downtown areas alone cause I'm afraid someone would just take me.

This summer my owner would leave me outside her favorite coffee shop while she ordered. When she came out of the shop I was either flashing everyone on my back or making friends. This is how I roll.

Day with Tyler

Following my frigid morning walk, I was surprised to find out I was going to be spending my day with my cousin Tyler while my owner went to work. Tyler is a one year old Cavalier King Charles.

I was dropped off in Manahawkin at my aunts place. Upon our arrival, I was greeted to Tyler jumping all over me. I quickly remembered he had lots of dingo bones.  I spent my day reducing the bone supply, getting hugs and trying to stay outside in the backyard.

Being that I was up all freakin' day with a pup I'm beat tired and off to bed.  I had a good day though and will be ready for another visit soon.

Giovanni

I had such an awesome time over the holidays hanging with my new buddy Giovanni.  Giovanni is my owners brothers girlfriends Papillon.  He lives out in California with them.

This was his first trip to NJ and he prepared by getting some new Uggs (later to be returned) and a doggie sweater.    I haven't been to California before,  but I get a sense that he's used to warmer weather.

Giovanni got to ride with them on the plane in the main cabin.  He's certified as a special therapy dog.  That means he's smart and really important and really lucky.

Giovanni was a pleasure to hang with.  We spent all day together on Christmas.  We hung out on the beach, opened gifts together, had a sleepover, had a house party while our owners were in NYC and went on a walk together with my dog walker, Meg.   Meg said that everyone was smiling at her while walking us...  I guess its not normal to see a cute Bernese Mountain Dog walking with a cute Papillon.  

Gio- I can't wait for you to come visit again!  Maybe I'll start the process to become a therapy dog so I can come out to visit you in Newport Beach.

I started the day off with a few treats and some hugs.  I then took a nice beach walk with my owners.

When we got back, I got some eggs with my breakfast.  2012 is looking pretty good already.
