Gift from Aunt Sue

My Aunt Sue and I never met before this week. She lives in Florida and is visiting us in NJ. She brought me a nice gift despite us never hanging out.

She knows me already:)

Jammin'

This is the cutest video of a Golden Retriever jamming to a guitar.  My dad plays the guitar but I don't have the moves this dog has.

Dog socks for people

Looking for a last minute gift idea for a pet owner? My owner just loves her Bernese mountain dog socks. They look just like me. She wears them all the time under her boots. She says they make her smile when she puts them on. Why not make someone else smile with socks?

We will be buying socks in the following breeds:
Papillon
Chocolate lab
Boxer
Bernese mountain dog

Mommy outing

My owner is out today with my best buddy dillons owner. We used to live around the corner from each other in Haddonfield. We spent so much time running around each others yard and having doggie play dates. I wish we could be together today but here's a pic of us separately today.

Tubzy's Twenty Four Days of Christmas: Furminator

Ever want to pretty much instantly feel 5 pounds lighter without doing much work? The furminator may be just the thing for you (assuming you are a big hairy dog). I love my furminator a little less than the blow dryer but still a whole lot. Being that I already have one, I'm just going to ask that my owner schedule some quality time to furminate me.

Tubzy's Twenty Four Days of Christmas: A HAMPSTER!

Zhu Zhu Pets Add On Hamster WheelI met my first hampster this summer at my neighbors house.  I would invite myself over so I could go stare at Chester on the wheel.

When not at the beach, I'd  go to my Fins & Feathers in Red Bank to stare at all the hampsters.  They where giving them away for free but my owners would never bring one home for me.

So for Christmas I'm gonna ask Santa for one of these.  Being that its a toy - I think my owners will let me keep him.    Based on the reviews, I think I'll also need a wheel or a ball to go with him.

Tubzy's Twenty Four Days of Christmas: Dog Tag Silencer

When I sleep at Katie's house I get asked to "take off my jewelry" before going to bed. My dog tags are pretty noisy.  Whether I'm walking around or just scratching an itch I am clanking away.   I think I just need new plastic bands around my dog tag and dog license.  Speaking of license, I need a new one too.  I think they are available through the town hall starting January 1. Tubzy's Twenty Four Day of Christmas: Pet Acoustics App

Here's another good gift idea.  I just love Petacoustics on my owners iPhone.  This app is the perfect download for any dog that needs some relaxation music here and there.  I prefer to listen when its thundering and lightning.

Tubzy's Twenty Four Days of Christmas: Dog Games Star Spinner Treat Toy

Kyjen Dog Games Star Spinner Treat ToyThe Kyjen Dog Games Star Spinner Treat Toy was featured on ABC just the other day.  It is the perfect gift for my gal Maggie.  Maggie is always up to something.  She needs something to keep her busy.  She usually prefers to spend her time opening the child proof gates to get into the living room but this may be just the thing.  It may be more of a gift for Maggie's owners.

As for me,  I don't need dog games to keep me happy. I find a good nap to be more entertaining.

Tubzy's Twenty Four Days of Christmas: Raised Food Bowls

My Pets Raised Water/Food Bowl is one of my favorite items.  I received one the first Christmas after I was adopted. My gal Bailey, St. Bernard, had a similar raised dog bowl set.

Prior to having one, I would lay down and drink from my bowls on the ground.  Its pretty funny. With my raised food bowls,  I can stand and enjoy my meals.

Heres a picture of how excited I was at Christmas to receive this!
Check them out here.

Tubzy's Twenty Four Days of Christmas: Little Tubzy's

This is Little Tubzy
My buddies that have been over to my house know how much I love my little Tubzy's.   I have a collection of 3 little Tubzys: Little Tubzy, Little Little Tubzy and Piccolo Tubzy.    Little looks like a puppy and Little Little is a bit smaller. Piccolo is from Italy therefore the name.   They are usually all over the house and I pick one of them up when I get excited.  You never know who I'm going to pick up.   When dog visitors come over they like to mess with me and grab a little Tubzy to taunt me.

If you want a dog and dont have one - this is the perfect gift because berners are awesome.  If you do have a dog - a little puppy stuffed animal is a perfect buddy for your pup.

Tubzy's Twenty Four Days of Christmas: Thundershirt For Maggie

On the fifth day of Christmas, my owners gave to me Twitter Dog Updater,  Skull & Crossbone Poop Bags, Friskies Party Mix, Happy Hips Treats and a Thundershirt (for Maggie).

Thundershirt Dog Anxiety Treatment Wrap
Does this cutie come with the Thundershirt?
I don't have one but I think they are supposed to apply gentle, constant pressure on a dog’s torso.   I guess its kind of like getting a hug whenever a dog wears one.  I love hugs and usually ask for them when I'm nervous.  This makes this a good gift for any dog that has anxiety.

I've heard that my girl Maggie also is comforted when wearing her tootsie roll Halloween costume.  Who knows, maybe it works with other dog apparel.  I'm no expert like Cesar Milan but they Thundershirt does offer a money back guarantee if it doesnt work for your pup.

Thundershirt is available at most local pet stores and online in  offer a several colors and size options.

Tubzy's Twenty Four Days of Christmas: Happy Hips Chicken & Apple Treats

On the fourth day of Christmas, my owners gave to me Twitter Dog Updater,  Skull & Crossbone Poop Bags, Friskies Party Mix and Happy Hips Treats.
Veggie Life Happy Hips Dog Treat Chicken/Apple
Bundt cake is my favorite treat but they aren't exactly healthy.   Dogswell Veggie Life Happy Hips Chicken & Apple Treats are my favorite healthy treat.  They are also good for hip health.  Us Berners need all the hip help we can get.   Whenever I get back from a walk,  I go right over to these treats so my owner doesnt forget to give me one.

They are available in most specialty pet stores and online here.

Friskies Party Mix Cheezy Craze Crunch Cat TreatsOn the Third Day of Christmas - I'm going to buy Denver some Friskies Party Mix.    If you haven't seen the video, check it out here. I know how he feels. I rarely do anything wrong but when I do I feel really bad.
Denver- If you are reading my blog, please send me your address.

If Denver has had enough Party Mix, I think I'll donate some to the Monmouth County SPCA.

Tubzy's Twenty Four Days of Christmas: Dog Gift Ideas

You've heard of the Twenty Five Days of Christmas before but I've got the Twenty Four Days of Christmas.   I can't tell time so I'm a little late in posting from the beginning of the month.

For my Twenty Four Days of Christmas,  I will be posting some cool dog gift ideas for the good dogs out there.   Some of these ideas will be things that I've received in the past as well as some things that are on my wish list...

RADICA GIRL TECH CHLD Puppy Twitter Tbd 1Today's gift idea is the Twitter Dog Updater.  Being that I have a twitter handle (@bernesemntndog) I need to update more often.  This gadget will tweet for me when it detects movement or in my case - lack of activity.   It recognizes the time of day, day of week and holidays.  It will post different messages for me when I'm catching some zzzz or when I'm active.
My owners sister Mary thought this would be the perfect gift for me.  I agree.  Maybe I can fire my owner as my personal assistant someday.

Sign

While Nora (my owners mom) was up in Manchester Vermont she said that she needs a sign to get another dog.   Literally a sign saying "St. Bernard Puppies For Sale".

She didn't see one during her trip but I have a surprise for her today. I'm planning to post this sign up in her kitchen:

I wonder if this counts...

National Dog Show - Let's Go Berners!

I'm looking forward to watching the National Dog Show at noon tomorrow on NBC.  I'm particularly excited to watch the Working Dog group to cheer on my fellow Berners.

I must say that the coverage of the Berners is usually really limited.   What's up with that?   I think the whole show should be dedicated to us.

For those also thinking our coverage is limited - heres a video clip of a Berner. I love how excited he looks to strut his stuff.

Signs are up

Over the past few weeks I've noticed lots of dogs walking with their owners on the Manasquan beach path.

I just wanted to let you all know that the signs are now up telling us dogs it's cool to be on a leash on the beach but never on the path.

I guess it's better than seeing the no dogs on beach sign.

See you on the beach!

Yeah I'm A Stalker. So What?

I have to admit I'm a bit of a stalker.  I love to stare into the homes of my favorite people and dogs.    I do this during all my walks but the ones that my owner finds most "stalkerish" are the early morning and late evening cause its still pretty dark out.

My favorite list is comprised of people that give me treats and where I've hung out with a dog buddy.  Two favorite people include Phyllis and Jenn.  Our neighbor Phyllis in Manasquan doesn't own a dog but she always welcomes me into her home to hang out.  We usually walk by her house first thing in the morning.  I usually stand across the street and look into her living room to see if she's ready for guests.

Jenn, in Red Bank, does own a dog but I heart Jenn cause she buys me fancy treats all the time!  When we lived next door I would return from my walk and camp out in front of her back door until she ready to go to work.  She'd always greet me and find a treat for me before she started her day.

As for dogs, Kiko is my girl.  Kiko lives down the street from us and we often play ball in the back yard or on the beach.  I like to stop in front of her house to see if she wants to come out to play.  I usually wait long enough to make it obvious that I'm in love. Depending on the time, she's usually up for coming out!  I think she's waiting for my visit;)

Manasquan Turkey Trot

I just finished congratulating the runners at the Manasquan Turkey Trot.

The Manasquan Turkey Trot is a Five Mile and One Mile Turkey Trot Run. This race is for everyone from the young to the young at heart.

Here are the details: Turkey Trot

In case you were wondering,  I didn't run it since I stop every five feet to mark my territory.  I figured the race would take a good day or so to complete and I'd likely trip people actually trying to run.  I prefer to head to the finish line with all the other dogs and congratulate all the runners.

Congrats to my favorite runners Katie, Mary Kate and Jenn!

Vermont - A Trip I Missed Out On

So my owner just got back from Vermont. She was gone for 2 days which actually felt like 2 weeks.

I stayed with Katie and Mary cause my pops works a lot and they are home more during the day.

While I didn't get to go on the trip- I is hear that Woodstock had a really cool general store with great dog books and collars. They even had a book store with 2 resident berners.

I was delighted to get a gift from their trip. Vermont cheddar cheese. My favorite!

I'm so happy she's back!

Day of Beauty

Today was an exciting day for me. I've had an appointment scheduled at Paw Palace (Dogs Paw Salon) in Red Bank for weeks now. Renee gets booked up really quickly since she's so good. I'm a lucky dog to get to see her.

I spent 4 hour there getting all prettied up. I now look and smell like a million bucks.

Upon pickup, my owner received great feedback about my behavior.

Before heading home I had to prance down broad street to show off my diva look.

My owner does get a little jealous when I get the spotlight so she made it a point to get her highlights at her people salon when we got home.

She's lookin cute too. I wish it wasn't going to rain tomorrow so we could walk around town and show off our new do's.

Found!

My cousin Maggie came down with Katie for the weekend. That girl is one piece of work. She is always getting into something or carrying something in her mouth. One minute it's a remote-the next it's one of my toys.

So yesterday Katie was watching both of us at my house. She was required to hang out in the bathroom while Katie showered. This is a requirement since she'd redecorate if left alone. Wouldnt you know it -she threw up on the bath rug. It's always something with her.

While poor Katie was cleaning up- she happened to find my owners missing diamond earring in the grout! It's been missing for a month!

Maggie is welcome to visit anytime!
Thank you Maggie!

Animal house

Some of you may think the post title is related to one of my owners favorite movies but in fact Animal House is my favorite pet store in Ocean City,NJ.

The store has everything I've ever wanted from top pet foods, treats, toys and gifts for our owners. I especially love their collar selection. It is by far the best collar store I've been to. I own an ocnj one, surf boards, sailor, funky pattern, flyers and some others.

Shani and Liz truly love animals and make every effort to make sure we are healthy. They even keep a book of photos of all their pet customers. Obviously I'm in it.

Fellow pets- Next time you are at the shore visit them at 705 Asbury Ave, ocean city. If your owners are leaving you at home during their vacation- make sure to tell them to stop in to get you something nice.

Bushel and a Peck

My owner sings to me every day when I wake up.  Recently she's been singing "A Bushel And A Peck".
She doesn't know all the words.  The most she knows is:
"I love you, a bushel and a peck!
A bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck!
A hug around the neck, and a barrel and a heap
A barrel and a heap, and I'm talkin' in my sleep.
About you
...
Cause I love you, a bushel and a peck
You bet your pretty neck I do!

There are more lyrics but I'm not sure if I want her to start singing "Doodle, oodle, oodle." Too embarrassing.

My owner is not a singer by any means so here is Perry Como & Betty Hutton's version.

Why is this our song?  I'm not exactly sure but it is a nice way to start the day.

Miraculous Recovery

So within a few minutes of my post yesterday - I made a miraculous recovery.  I felt a million times better and was on the beach playing with Milo, a puggle puppy, and a Sandy, a cute little white dog.  From there I went on my normal lunch walk to the Manasquan Dog Beach and then spent some time hanging on the beach with Jib, the  Portuguese water dog.

Belly ache

Belly ache
I had a little bellyache yesterday afternoon. I don't know if it was the raw hide, random treats or just a bug. I don't normally get sick so I'm a big baby when I do.

My owner decided to stay home today to take care of me.   I think I'll just going to chill on the couch and watch Kathy Lee & Hoda and maybe some Beverly Hills 90210 reruns.

I wish I could go out and play with the other dogs on the beach on this nice day.

Beep, beep, beep

Oh my. My owner was just cooking up tonight's dinner. The menu included chicken, asparagus and mashed potatoes (mmmm). Wouldn't you know it she managed to set off the smoke alarm?!

To be clear - She manages to do this once every two weeks. Yup.

I was not interested in waiting around to see what was going on. I ran to her and then begged her to open the front door. I was out on the beach so fast. I didn't look back.

I was coaxed back inside after all the beeping with mashed potatoes.

Someone better give her a cooking lesson!

Slept in today

In an effort to save on energy costs, my owner purchased black out curtains for our bedroom.

Also there were no curtains up when we moved in so the neighbors and sailors could potentially see me in my birthday suit.

This morning I woke up around 7:30 and realized the curtains were drawn. I cant believe i missed the sunrise and the hour leading up to it.

If my owner closes the curtains again tonight - I'm gonna set an alarm clock to wake up at 6:30. Won't my owner be happy to wake up early and then realize its even earlier since tomorrow we set the clocks back an hour.

Dog Friendly Asbury Park

My owner and I inside the carousel
building
Yesterday we took a stroll through Asbury Park with my gal Maggie. My owner, Katie and their mom wanted to enjoy some time out of the house. They were just a little concerned about miss Maggie creating chaos in the house.  I'm glad cause that meant we all got to go!

My owner thought Asbury Park would be a great place to walk around. We first walked the boardwalk and then on Cookman. It was so nice to be welcomed on a boardwalk since most Jersey shore towns shoo us dogs away. In Asbury, I was pet by a police officer. How nice! Most shops on the boardwalk were closed but we walked from the convention center to the ol' carousel. We even checked out the outdoor bar at the Wonder Bar. They have this awesome yappy hour - but we were a little early.

Katie and a very well behaved
Maggie
From there - we went to Cookman Ave. We were welcomed into stores! We first visited he Dawg Joint for doggie stuff.   What a cute store and groomer.

From there we were invited into "people" stores. Shop owners said that we could go into all stores!  I especially loved walking through the Arcade building.   Next time I need to remember my pops credit card.

For lunch we enjoyed pizza outside at Crust and Crumble. They were so nice to move a table outside so we could all dine in the sun.  The crust was delicious but my owners said the vodka sauce pizza was the best pizza ever.

Can't wait to go back!

There's Something About Bundt Cake

I must say that Bundt cake is one of my absolute favorite things of all time.  My list originally included other dogs, cheese, my owner and walks. We now have a new addition: bundt cake.

My owner's mom is the best bundt cake maker of all time. She occassionally brings over a homemade bundt for the family to enjoy.  I'm not much of a begger but when it comes to bundt cake I'm all about it.  I'm usually successful with my begging and get a piece here and there.  This week my owner's mom brought me my very own bundt!

Let's be honest. It's not the best thing for ya but I get lots of exercise to ward off any of those extra pounds.

For more information on bundt cakes visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bundt_cake

Happy "Dogs Allowed Back On The Beach" Day

Beach day with my girl Maggie
Hip, hip, hooray!  Today is November 1st.  This day marks dogs being allowed back on the beach in Manasquan and many other Jersey Shore towns (e.g. Cape May). I started the morning with a windy beach play date with my buddy Kiko.  Just a bit ago, I continued the party with Maggie.

This is not a right- its a privilege. For others taking advantage of all the fun, please remember:
Pick up after your dog.  Sandy poop on the beach is not cool.
No dogs allowed on beach paths/boardwalks.
Keep a leash handy.
Enjoy!

Halloween Treats

Happy Day After Halloween!

For all those curious, I decided not to dress up this year. I was too busy playing with my cousin Maggie, Mary's chocolate lab. We did both sport our cute Halloween bandanas.

Thanks to Maggie for my Halloween treats. I just love raw hide chips.

Time To Make The Costume

In my blog yesterday I mentioned how I enjoyed watching Martha's Pet Halloween episode on tv.  Last year I wanted to go to the taping of the show to see it in dog-son (my version of person).   Back in September I tasked my owner with going to Martha's website to see if we could get tickets.

Wouldn't you know it- Martha wanted us to come to the taping!  I'm sure you could imagine my excitement... Francesca, Sharkey, Ghenghis and tons of other dogs in the same studio audience.   The one request Martha had was that I dress up in costume.  Ah... No problem!

I kept dream of the cat-walk and trying to think what would be the best costume and alas!  I decided to be a Swiss Pastry Chef.  I'm obviously Swiss so that was pretty easy and a pastry chef is right up Martha's alley.  I decided to document the steps in creating my costume.  Here's how I made it:

I Like Martha Stewart

For Halloween 2009,  I enjoyed watching Martha Stewart's Pet Halloween show.  I must say I am all about the fashion.  With Isaac Mizrahi appearing on the segment, I had to watch the "cat"walk and see what my fellow pets were wearing.   I was particularly fond of this particular kitty.

More to come soon about what we did last year.
Let's just say we weren't sitting on the couch watching tv.

I'm the perfect family dog

My friend Katie has been looking into getting a puppy when her family moves into a new house.  Katie is married and has the cutest one year old.   Katie has told me that she can't wait to get a puppy since she had dogs growing up.  She's considering Golden Retrievers, Labradoodles and Bernese Mountain Dogs. Now that she has a one year old, she needs to consider which breed makes the perfect family dog.  I'm awesome with kids so I love it when the family comes to visit.

In a recent email, Katie sent me the below research on the Breed:

"Bernese Mountain Dog: The Bernese Mountain Dog is another “gentle giant” – they usually range from 80-120 lbs and have a kind and gentle look about them that gives great insight into their personalities. The breed is generally very stable and trainable but requires a patient hand and lots of positive encouragement. They make excellent companions for children and other pets. Bernese Mountain Dogs were used to pull carts in Switzerland and the The Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Americaholds trials for this activity!"

You know my vote.  I'd even consider having some offspring of my own to complete the search if I could find the right b-tch.  Know any hotties?

Great way to start each day

Every morning at the very first sign of daybreak I wake up my owner for my morning walk. I go to her side of the bed and just stare at her till she opens her eyes. Sometimes I have to give her a paw to wake her on a weekend.

Once shes up, I stretch out and yawn. Then she usually asks if I "want to go for one" (walk that is). Then I bark three times and head for downstairs.

When we get downstairs I do everything I can to keep my owner to her promise. I follow her to the bathroom, then try to help her put on her shoes and follow her to my leash.

Once we are outside we run onto the beach for the sunrise. Here's one from the other morning.

Pet friendly in vermont?

I'm thinking about heading to Vermont soon to check out the mountains. I'm looking into Stratton and also Stowe for a long weekend. The trip will take about 5-6 hours to drive.. I'm going to be chauferred by my owners so I'm hoping to nap along the way. I've been told that dog friendly hotels may be tricky to find. Honestly, I don't know who wouldnt want to host me as their guest. I did see that the trapp family lodge in stowe is dog friendly. This may just be as close to Switzerland as I get. My owner has been there before when she was younger. I hope she books this place! L.l. beds, hike maps, water bowls in rooms and treats! I love it. http://www.trappfamily.com If you have any suggestions, let me know!

Shopping in Avalon this Summer

I just found some pictures from a shopping trip in Avalon. Avalon is a great town to walk around and check out the stores. I especially enjoyed the outdoor water bars:)

They also have a bunch of little outdoor cafes that are often dog friendly. We stopped by the burger place and met another Berner.

Shout out to my buddy Louie

Louie sitting under
me in the car
I figure I should post about some of my dog friends.  Today I'm thinking about my buddy Louie.  Louie is my bulldog neighbor in Red Bank.

Louie and I met when we moved back from Haddonfield to the place my owners purchased PT (preTubz).  Louie and I shared many mornings on the deck after I returned from my morning walk.  We had good times swapping houses for better treats. I'd go over to Jenn's for some cheese or some foofy treats from Paw Palace and Louie would come over to our place for water and milkbones.  I definitely think I had the better deal but Louie was all about our water.

I havent seen Louie since we moved to Manasquan for the winter.  I hear he still looks in our door to beg for some water.  Hope all is well man.

Check out Louie's blog to learn more about him.

My girlfriend Mishka

Here's one of my favorite talking dogs.  I intently watch and listen to my girl Mishka.  I know she's saying "I Love You Tubz!"

I Love Rainy Days

I love to be towel dried
by my pops
I was happy to hear the sound of the rain outside my window before my morning walk.

I normally hate anything that has to do with getting wet like baths, swims, etc.  I do; however, enjoy a good towel dry with my own special towel and blow dry with my owners fancy Chi dryer.

Tuesday, October 18, 2011

This morning I was told that I was out of my pet food.  Apparently someone forgot to pick up my usual, Orijen Regional Red, when she was picking up her dinner last night.

I usually get about 1 1/2 cups twice a day.  This food is highly recommended by most high quality pet stores.  It's grain free and includes many delicious ingredients.

I do not; however, take it straight up.  I got my owners in the habit of giving me a topping on it every meal.  Some toppings include eggs, Cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, hamburger meat.  You get the picture.

This morning I'll be rationing the remaining 1/2 cup until B.C Woof  in Manasquan opens.

Pool party

My buddy jib and I had a fun lunch walk followed by a little pool party.

We've heard the pool was a happening scene this summer but not we moved in.

Jib decided to change that today.

Let the pool parties continue until the pool is closed. Ill host but don't get any thoughts about me swimming.

B-tches: come on by anytime and hang out w us guys!

A Little Short In The Rear

My blog post yesterdaymade me think back to when I was groomed at a place that rhymes with Metsmart.    On this particular Fall 2010 day, Edward Scissorhands was my groomer.  My owner instructed Edward to do the usual and just trim up around my "sanitary".  She learned this term from another one of my groomers.  Edward took the liberty to fully manscape me.  Yup fellas I was manscaped. No more feathers.  Edward trimmed my rear up pretty close and didn't leave any hair "you know where".  (See reference to my manhood in my first post.)

Let's just say my family and friends were shocked every time I rolled over.  It took months for it to grow back.

Doggie Car Wash

Post bath en route home
In an effort to stay cute and cuddly, a Berners got to MANEtain.  I enjoy my salon visits for a nice bath, tooth brushing, little trim and of course the blowout.  I usually hit of the fancy salons like Paw Palace in Red Bank but yesterday my owner decided to take me to the Brielle Dog  Boutique to get the "stink out of me" if you will.

This place is pretty cool.  You owner gets to give you the bath with all the fixings of a doggie salon. I usually like to flirt with my stylists but I am a momma's boy so having her around was a-okay.

So I walk in and am immediately taken to the bathing area.    I take one look at the tub and I put on the brakes.  I have this little maneuver where no one can move me when I anchor down like a ton of bricks.  After a few minutes my owner takes me out and pulls a fast one on me. She quickly rushes me in through the other door and into the fancier tub on the floor.  I didnt have enough time to think about where I was going.

Since I was outsmarted, I decide just enjoy my bath.  The water was nice and warm and I was treated to the more expensive shampoo.  The salon has all the extras like good shampoo and some freebies like ear wipes, tear wipes, towels and more.   From there - it was time for a blowout.  This was a little more expensive but my owner knows I love the blowdryer.

My owner brought my furminator so she attempted to brush while drying.  Imagine my surprise when my hair was everywhere!  Little did she know that she's supposed to furminate before not after a bath.  Duh!

Everyone was super nice there! I'd definitely go back.

So as you all already know I was adopted when I was 2 years old.  At 2, I was the same full grown adorable dog that I am now.  Unfortunately, my owners dont know how cute I was as a puppy.

My Pops decided to search to see if they were any pictures of me online.  He's convinced that this is my puppy pic down to narrow blaze and my "cindy crawford" marking on my nose.

Is it my pic?  I'll never tell.

I "dig" beach days

Today was another beautiful day on the beach in Manasquan.

I'm lucky to have nice owners who set up an umbrella for me so I watch people go by on the path.

Before laying down, I like to dig to find the cool sand.  My style is a bit different from most dogs. This is how it's done.

I like beach naps

Today is the day I've been waiting for! After a summer with my owners working on weekends and a kinda crappy September, today is the first day to just lay out on the beach.

Dogs aren't allowed yet on the beach but im fortunate to be renting a place on the beach. My afternoon activity has included hunting for shady spots and taking naps.

I highly recommend beach naps with waves crashing in the background. I don't however recommend sand in my little jowls. Back to sleep.
